Speaker: Dr. Charles S. Bartlett, Bartlett Geological Consultants

Title: Prehistory and Economic Resources of Saltville, Virginia

Abstract: Dr. Charles S. Bartlett, Jr., is Chief Geologist of Bartlett Geological Consultants in Abingdon, Virginia. Dr. Bartlett has over 43 years of broad experience in exploration geology seeking oil and gas from America`s future energy resources in Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi. Dr. Bartlett received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology from the University of North Carolina in 1951 and 1967, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Tennessee in 1974. For 11 years Dr. Bartlett served as Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Geology at Emory and Henry College. Dr. Bartlett is the author of numerous publications and is a member of several professional societies including, the American Institute of Professional Geologist and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Dr. Bartlett`s talk will focus on the prehistory and economic resources of Saltville, Virginia.
